Most records consist of dates and times that need further process and computation. Without the knowledge of date and time computations/functions, it will be difficult to get durations, check expiration, monitor delays, produce date-based reports, tracking, compute spreadsheet payrolls and etc... 

 

This Virtual Class course on Microsoft Excel is intended for participants who has basic knowledge in Excel and want to go beyond the spreadsheet capabilities. Excel is mostly about the numerical data, but at times you can come across the data which has too much text and that is the time when Text Functions in Excel will help you to simplify the things easily. When it comes to calculating dates in Excel, DATE is the most essential function to understand. Conditional Formatting is the best way to format cells based on a condition or criteria enabling us easily identify our data.

Course Objectives

 At the end of this course, the participant should be able to:      

               

  1. Utilize commonly used Text Function in Excel such as CONCATENATE, LEFT, RIGHT MID, SUBTITUTE, UPPER, LOWER TEXT, CLEAN, TRIM, and TEXT.

  2. Compute Date/Time computations and use functions such as DATE, TODAY, NOW, DAY, MONTH, YEAR, WEEKNUM, DATEDIF, WORKDAY, NETWORKDAYS, HOUR, MINUTES, SECONDS.

  3. Apply Conditional formatting using basic and advance rules.

  4. Insert and Modify Charts in Excel.

  • Apply Basic Conditional Formatting rules
